What happens when a group of young performers becomes the writers, creators, and stars of their own musical? In The Actor’s Lab, students will work together to create an original 30-minute jukebox musical inspired by the songs they love. Through collaborative storytelling, character development, improvisation, scriptwriting, and performance, the class will build a brand-new show from the ground up.
Along the way, they'll develop creativity, teamwork, confidence, and performance skills. The session will culminate in a fully staged performance of their original musical for family and friends.

For the first time ever, Rose will be hosting AFT’s inaugural theatrical dance course on Saturday mornings this fall. Rose will choreograph numbers from a variety of musicals and we will have our own “recital” in December.

Lights up on laughter! In this fun, fast-paced theatre class, students will rehearse and perform a brand-new short comedy while developing the skills that bring great performances to life.
Through rehearsals, character exploration, and ensemble work, students will strengthen their acting technique, sharpen their comedic timing, and build confidence on stage. They’ll dive into character studies by exploring their characters’ personalities, motivations, relationships, and backstories to create authentic, engaging performances. This is a straight play - not a musical - so the focus is entirely on acting, storytelling, character development, and comedy, with no singing or dancing required. The session culminates in a live performance for family and friends, where students will showcase their hard work, creativity, and teamwork. Most importantly, they’ll have fun, make new friends, and experience the excitement of bringing a hilarious story to life together!

Summer Stock
We start out every summer with a two week program where we prepare and perform two separate hourlong productions. We also have a Cabaret Act of about twenty songs complete with five fully choreographed ensemble numbers.
Summer Stock culminates with performances of both shows the second Friday of camp.
Ages: Kindergarten through Sophomores. [rising Sophomores would be CITs] These three performances allow our actors and actresses many opportunities to shine.
